How the vocal remover works

A vocal remover listens to a mixed song and pulls the singing apart from the music. This one runs a neural separation model on your own computer, in your browser, so your song never leaves your device. It works through the song in pieces of about eleven seconds, and you can play the instrumental and the vocals as soon as the first piece is done, while the rest is still being made.

It is a stem splitter too: besides the voice and the instrumental you get Drums, Bass and Other, so you can mute the drums for practice, keep only the bass line, or rebuild the mix your own way. Save each stem as MP3 (320 kbps), WAV, FLAC, OGG or M4A, or all of them in one zip.

The result depends on the song: a clear lead voice over a band separates well; heavy reverb, choirs and vocal effects leave more traces in the instrumental. Songs can be up to 7 minutes long, and a typical song takes about 10 to 18 minutes on a laptop.
